The Landlady

The short story chosen for this school year was The Landlady by Roald Dahl. Amusing, strange, interesting, silly...? What is your opinion?

We're already used to Roald Dahls suspance, and unexpected endings.

This was one more "stange" story, that kept us glue to the sheets from the begining till the end.

And don't you dare saying the landlady wasn't nice and adorable, even harmless! She only had come psychological diseases... =P

In my opinion, it wasn't a unexpected ending.

There was always pointers that billy was going to be murdered or something like that.

hi everyone!

After "Man from the South" (a short story which was read last year) comes "The Landlady".

Reading another story written by this author made me compare many things.

After all of that, I concluded that, although I prefer "The Landlady"'s surroundings (it sounded to me "very british!!!!"), "Man from the South"'s plot was more suspicious and unexpected, what made me feel more curious about the story...

Anyway, reading this short story, was a great way to start this school year! :D

See you!

I agree with Sofia. I think that the short story from last year was more exciting and misterious that the one that we read this year...

However, it was a nice way to run from the Grammar :D

I also prefered the short story from last year (specially the nails! lol) ! The end was much more unexpected!

"The landlady" doesn't even have an end!!! I don't like open ended storys! I just like to know everything that happen! :S
